E-commerce Web Shop
Within our team at Cotswold Web Services we have experience working on sites taking up to £2 Million per day to smaller sites taking an average of £50 per day. All E-commerce websites (online shops) leave our UK studios with an easy to use Content Management System (CMS) allowing you to update products, categories and content, and manage your orders online.
We have the experience to provide everything “in house”, including our designers, developers and internet marketing specialists. We provide UK E-Commerce sites and systems developed specifically for the needs of your company. There are a number of options available depending on the requirements of your business.
As there is a continually increasing number of shoppers turning to the internet rather than the High Street, online sales are a critical area for most businesses. Selling effectively online involves providing a shopping experience for your customers that inspires confidence. Ensuring your web shop can be found on the search engines is critical to generate sales, we offer a full internet marketing package to cover every aspect of your E-commerce store.
As we have experienced developers in both the Microsoft and Linux platforms we are able to offer excellent E-commerce solutions in both PHP and DotNet (.Net).We also offer an E-commerce solution based on the Microsoft DotNet (.Net) platform, using NopCommerce. Please view our Web Shop Starter Packages, Advanced E-commerce Web Design Packages and Microsoft E-commerce Development Packages for more information.

E-CommerceE-Commerce is a term covering any financial transaction on the web from online banking to shopping to managing utility bills. The potential for abuse of any system involving personal data has led to the development of PayPal, which acts as a 3rd party payment gateway. PayPal allows transactions between buyer and vendor to take place whilst reducing the risk of exposing personal data such as your date of birth, maiden name and bank details (all of which are used in identity theft and fraud). The vendor site does not have to store or manage any client data and there is the added benefit of additional payment security should either side of the transaction not be satisfactorily fulfilled. Google Checkout works in a similar way with participating online stores, whilst also offering fraud protection and order tracking. Many websites have made use of affiliate sites in order to raise their web profile. A potential buyer can either go directly to a specific website (assuming they know exactly what they want and where to get it) or, browsing more generally, can link to a site via a 3rd party. The link usually takes the form of a banner or pop-up and forwards the buyer to the affiliated site. The affiliate site is paid by the merchant site. |
